Tutankhamen, The Boy King by Jackie Gaff
Have you ever imagined what it would be like to be king or queen? Some children did not have to imagine - they actually ruled their lands! Crowned pharaoh of Egypt at the age of nine, Tutankhamun was one of these very young rulers. Although he only lived for eighteen years, he helped accomplish many things for his country, like restoring Egypt's religion and traditions back to the ways of old. Even so, Tutankhamun is most remembered for the discovery of his last resting place - King Tut's tomb. From it, we have learned about Tutankhamun himself, as well as everything from Egyptian life, farming practices, and religious customs, to fashion trends and popular board games!
